I just got home a bit ago from the Midnight release of Gears of War 3 with my Epic Edition and my Retro Lancer in tow. First off I need to say that this is by far the greatest Collectors Edition I have ever purchased. The MArcus Fenix statue is worth the price of admission alone. Did they stop there? Hell no. They added Adam Fenix(Marcus; father) Last Will and testament. A replica of the Octus Meal he received as well as the Certificate for it. A lot of Adam’s personal effects such as a nice letter to his son as well as photos. The best part is they actually made these documents look and feel aged or “official”. You can tell that Marcus’ father will play a huge role in the story just by looking at this stuff. So far I have only taken a few pics of the statue itself:
It’s all honestly incredible and I wish I had some time to post some pictures on the stuff right now but I am dead tired. I still want to get a bit of gameplay in before I head to bed too. I will try and post at least some pictures of the Lancer when I can.

So I was playing some Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I found this neat little easter egg very early on in the game that I had to share. I quickly grabbed my iPod Touch and took a couple pics. As you can see it’s a poster for Final Fantasy XXVII. I highly doubt that this is any indicator as to what’s to come for the titular RPG series. Nonetheless, I thought it was a nice little treat for them to include.
Also if you look to the left you will see a futuristic bike called the Shintaro. Could it be a tribute to Shintaro Takai, the art director who has worked on several FF titles? Maybe. Regardless I am always a fan of those extra little things.
