We Unbox a Sexy Xbox One: Halo 5 Edition

Thanks to a good close friend of mine, I was able to get my hands on a collector’s edition copy of Halo 5: Guardians, as well as the special edition Xbox One Halo 5: Guardians system. Boy, not only was that system a sexy thing to look at – probably the best looking Xbox One, and personally, the design the XBone should keep – but that collector’s edition… oh my!

Round Six: UFC 163

I’m not going to lie fellow fight fans, I initially wasn’t all too thrilled with this card. When the main event was initially announced as Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis for the Featherweight Championship, I was a little perplexed as to why Pettis, who was on the cusp of finally getting his UFC Lightweight title shot, was going to drop down to Featherweight and take on that the division king Aldo. But there was no doubt in my mind that a fight between these two would have been fireworks. Unfortunately Pettis had to pull out due to a knee injury, but in the end he’s getting a crack against Lightweight champion Ben Henderson at UFC 164. So that left Jose Aldo without an opponent. That is until the returning fan favorite “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung was given the match. Known for his highly entertaining balls-to-the-wall fighting style and ability to absorb ungodly amounts of punishment, the show was still going to go on, albeit with less fanfare as it may have once had. But before we get to the title fight, let’s take a quick look at some other fights that went down that night.

Round Six: UFC on FOX 8

Fellow fight fans, it’s time for another Round Six. This time we tackle last night’s event, UFC on FOX 8: Johnson vs. Moraga. The card was headlined by a UFC Flyweight Championship fight between defending champion Demetrious Johnson and #1 contender John Moraga. As always, spoilers apply, so if you haven’t seen the fights and don’t want to be spoiled, steer clear for now.

Round Six: Invicta FC 6

Holy F’ing S! Ladies and gentlemen, if you’ve never watched an Invicta FC event, you are missing out. For its sixth event, Invicta brought a stacked card from top to bottom, main evented by the rematch between Cris “Cyborg” Santos and Marloes Coenen. The pair had squared off before on January 30, 2010 for the Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight Championship, where Cyborg successfully defended her title by TKOing Coenen at 3:40 of the third round. This time the two women went at it again, but for Invicta’s inaugural Featherweight Championship.

In the immortal words of Tommy Toe Hold, what’s up fight fans?! I’m bringing you the inaugural edition of our new feature, Round Six. After a high profile MMA event, I’m gonna come on here and spew my opinions on the fights that went down, and you can comment below and tell me how much of an idiot I am, and I’ll love you for it.  Spoilers from last night’s fights are a given, so if you don’t want to know any results, DO NOT continue reading. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. So without further ado, lets get this party started.

OUYA? Oh yeah! An unboxing of the new Android-based gaming console.

It was nearly a year ago that the Kickstarter campaign for the OUYA launched, and just 8 short hours later, the project had met its goal of $950,000.00. In fact, by the time the Kickstarter ended on August 9th, over 9 times the amount had been raised, with 63,416 people backing the idea of an Android-based gaming console, bringing the total up to $8,596,474.00. Over 58,000 of those backers pledged $95.00 or more in order to one of the ones to actually get an OUYA console.

Xbox One: Hit Yes to Terms and Conditions?

So as Marcos pointed out earlier today, the Xbox One doesn’t seem so hot after Microsoft “unveiled” how their system will require an “internet check” once every 24 hours to make sure your experience is up to snuff, and to make sure piracy is kept at a minimum. At least, that’s their story and they’re sticking to it. Here’s a little more info on the what’s and why’s. Boys and girls, ladies and gents, take a seat, take a lap, shut your traps. Let’s get the rant machine going.

Bandai’s D-Arts Charizard / Lizardmon Pokemon Figure Review!

While I am familiar with Bandai’s D-Arts action figure line, I never really felt inclined to pick one up. But that quickly changed once I found out they were planning on releasing a Pokemon line of figures. So far there are only 3 Pokemon that have been given the D-Arts treatment: Mewtwo, Charizard and Blastoise (the latter is scheduled to release in late June). Since Charizard (also known as Lizardmon in Japan) is probably my favorite ‘mon (Pokemon Red for life!) my choice was easy. So with that said, lets get on with the review!

Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition Unboxing (Pictures)

So even though I already own the game, thanks to my sources I was able to snag a copy of the Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition for the Xbox 360 yesterday afternoon. I wasn’t planning on doing an unboxing for this CE since there are probably tons of them online already but that changed quickly once I opened up the package. So with that said, lets get to it! The Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition includes the following:

Hyrule Historia has arrived!

Well folks, my workday has just gotten a bit better as I have just received my copy of the Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia book (which is surprisingly much bigger than I originally expected!). I cannot wait to go home and rip open the shrink wrap and nerd out. For those of you who had no idea this glorious book even existed let me fill you in.  The Hyrule Historia is basically an in depth look into all things Legend of Zelda. Inside you will find anything from never-before-seen concept art, character designs and it also supposedly includes an Official Chronology of the games. This book previously came out in Japan and it was announced to be released and published here in the U.S by Dark Horse. If you are interested in the book do yourselves a favor and snag a copy as soon as possible just in case it ends up becoming rare (you don’t want to end up having to buy a copy off of ebay for a ridiculous amount). I got my copy off of Amazon. It is currently going for a little over $20. I will try to post some impressions later on but I can’t…

Catherine Love is Over Deluxe Edition Unboxing

Well folks, its with great pleasure that I post this unboxing. As you can see I have received my copy of Catherine Love is Over Deluxe Edition, and its amazing. For those of you out of the loop Catherine is described as a Horror-Puzzle Platformer and is developed and published by Atlus. Specifically the “Persona Team” led by Katsura Hashino so those of you Persona fans might wanna give this game a whirl. The game did incredibly well in Japan (even though everyone bitched about the difficulty) so they decided to bring it to the rest of us. I for one am so damned happy this made its way to the States because I have had my eye on it since it was first announced in Japan. So you might be wondering what do you get for $80 (USD)? The Love is Over Deluxe Edition comes with the following:

e-diots Mid Year Standouts 2011

So we just reached the halfway point of 2011 and I thought to myself, “Hey why don’t we make a list of our most memorable games of the year so far?” So I did. So what can you expect to find in our Mid year stand outs? Pretty much whatever games we enjoyed, were addicted to and just plain old caught our attention from January up until now. We won’t include any titles that we did not play or play enough of since it wouldn’t be fair. This won’t be in any particular order, nor will we pick an all out “Best game” either. Also, please remember these are just our opinions. So with that said, lets begin!

Killzone 3 Helghast Edition Unboxing.

The long wait for Killzone 3 is finally over as the much anticipated shooter lands on shelves today. As you can see I got my hands on the sweet Helghast Editions. What makes it so sweet you ask? Well let me show you just in case you were wondering what you get for the extra cash. As you can see from the picture above, it comes with quite a few things. Inside the Helghast Edition you will find the following: A 100 page Artbook. 6.5″ tall Cloaked Helghast Marksman Action Figure made by DC Unlimited. A “Super Voucher” Which gives you the Killzone 3 Soundtrack and a Dynamic Ps3 theme, 2 remastered Retro maps from Killzone 2 for multiplayer, For the first 24 hours you will get double XP and have access to every weapon and upgrade in multiplayer and a bonus video of The Behind the Scenes making of Killzone 3. A SOCOM 4 Beta invitation. An Authentic Helghast Helmet Replica that doubles as storage for your Kilzone 3 game and artbook. Now lets start off with artbook. I took a couple pics of some random pages to give you an idea of what you will find inside. It…

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Fate of Two Worlds Collector’s Edition unboxing

Well Marvel vs Capcom 3 hits shelves this week and you know what that means right? Yep, another Collectors Edition “unboxing”. The only bad thing is that there isn’t much in this Special Edition to show.  I almost thought about not doing it, but as soon as I saw the artwork on the steel case I quickly changed my mind. As you can see from the first pic the game comes in a black cover slip with light drawing of the characters on the front. Now once you remove that slip you get this: Its the same drawing as on the cover slip but now in color. As you can see it is simply gorgeous artwork depicting various characters from the game. Now if you flip this baby around there’s some more neat artwork. I am in love with this steel case. It even has some neat art on the inside as well.   Now for purchasing the Special Edition you also get some neat goodies other than the amazing case. Inside you will find a comic book. Which looks like this: On the back of the comic itself you will find the other goodies in code format. You get a 1…

Dead Space 2 Collector’s Edition (Pics of Unboxing)

As you can see, my copy of Dead Space 2 Collectors Edition came in today. So I decided to do another “Collectors Edition” unboxing for you guys. Trust me when I say that it was very hard not to immediately start playing as soon as I got my hands on it. I’ll start off by showing some pics of the box itself. Once you remove the outer slip you get this: The inner box has these 2 foldable flaps which show off some nifty artwork once you get them both open. As you can see above, one of the flaps has some info on the Plasma Cutter such as stats and diagrams etc. Cool stuff. Now once you get both flaps open… You will see the rest of the artwork. It’s a nice landscape pic featuring Isaac in front of The Sprawl. Again, awesome artwork. Along the outside of the inner box you will find this bad ass art piece. It’s the exact same one you will find on the outer slip but without all the text and junk. Now lets open this baby up and see whats inside. The Collectors Edition includes the game itself, a “lithograph”  featuring concept art of a  Necromorph…

Little Big Planet 2 Collectors Edition (Pics of unboxing).

I just got back from my local entertainment store and I picked up a copy of the Little Big Planet 2 Collectors Edition. So I took my Ipod and decided to take some quick pics for those of you who might be interested in what you get for the extra $20. I won’t be talking about the game itself, only the contents of the Collector’s Edition. So lets get started! As you can see from the above pic the set comes with the game (of course!), a 7″ collectable Sackboy plushie (frickin’ adorable ain’t he?), a voucher for 11 DLC costumes (plus 2 exclusive LBP2 CE costumes and 5 psn avatars) and the game/book ends. I’ll start by talking about the game/book ends. I don’t have any problem with them because as you can see they look pretty nice. The only thing I don’t like is that they feel a little flimsy and light. The material is made to look like solid wood but it honestly feels very light and hollow. Now that I have it in front of me I think it would be better off used as a game end instead of books unless you have very light…

e-diots Best of 2010

The e-diots.net Best of 2010 List Welcome to our first of what will be hopefully many “Best of” lists. We are basically selecting our favorites from the past year in gaming. You will notice a few things different from our list compared to other sites though. First off, we don’t have a “best game of 2010”. I know its kind of weird but when it came down to select a winner we could not settle on one specific game. There were so many great games that it was really hard to narrow it down for specific categories, let alone an overall “GOTY”. Our list is made up of categories such as best role playing, best first person, etc. We made only one list and games from every system were eligible. We also did pick our “Overall best of” for each platform, too. Also, please keep in mind these are just our picks. This is not the definitive list for every human on earth. So don’t start freaking out if we didn’t include your favorite title on here. Here’s a quick reference to all the winners at a single click! Best 1st Person Shooter | Best 3rd Person Shooter | Best…
