Dildos?
August 29th, 2010 |Before everyone freaks out, E-diots is not a porn site. Luis couldn’t finish this weeks strip due to work and the fact that he has to fly out tomorrow morning for a week long, work related conference. The strips material is actually a real life conversation we had while discussing what to do since the planned strip is unfinished. this is just a taste of the kind of random conversations we end up having on a daily basis. Hopefully this kind of thing won’t happen often. Not because we don’t love it, but because who knows what we would come up with next time. So there you go. Dildos.
This week we see the release of Metroid Other M. I always thought the game looked amazing ever since the first trailer was shown. Then at the end seeing that Nintendo AND Team Ninja were working on it, my excitement grew even more. I know Lu had and still has some worries about the game’s controls. I won’t lie, I also felt a tad hesitant as to how it would work out. So far most reviews are praising the game and the balls it took making such a huge change to a major Nintendo series. If you remember, Metroid already has had a major gameplay change with the FPS change in the Prime games. The only gripe that seems common is the controls. Now by no means are they game breaking, but I have been reading that its more of a nuisance than anything. The developers decided to limit both the 2D/3D and the FPS gameplays to the Wiimote. So while holding the ‘mote sideways you need to turn it around and point at the screen for the FP parts or gunplay. Now I haven’t tried it myself yet but I think that it could end up being annoying.I wish as gamers we would get more options as far as control customization goes. Not everyone likes to play the game the same.
Besides the minor control issues, I hear the game is very solid and most important of all, fun. So I am definitely excited. Ill post some impressions once I get some game time with it on Tuesday.
