The good kind of pain…
March 28th, 2010 |Make no mistake folks, Mega Man 10 means business. The game is as hard as ever. The thing is though, its still a fun and satisfying experience. I am loving the route Capcom is going with Mega Man. Most other developers would never try something like this. Who would have thought that the two latest Mega Man titles would have looked the same to their 8-bit ancestors. Not me that’s for sure.
Nintendo went ahead and pretty much confirmed what we all knew this week by announcing the often rumored successor of the DS, the Nintendo 3DS. This handheld can supposedly handle some kind of 3D technology without the need for the lame glasses. How does it work you ask? No one really knows yet, but it will be playable in some form in June at E3. I am a bit skeptical of the 3DS, but at the same time I an intrigued as to how it will work out. Things are looking interesting in the video game world as of late. It looks like 3D is the new thing nowadays and I for one welcome our new friend Mr. 3D to our world of movies and games. I think the next couple of years will be quite interesting to see how they start incorporating this newfangled dimension into our entertainment.
I have been keeping busy this week by mostly playing Just Cause 2. Let me tell you that Avalanche Studios pulled off an Assassins Creed 2 with this game. They went back and fixed every single issue or problem that hindered the original Just Cause. The game is just pure unadulterated fun. The best part is that the game is as enjoyable as you make it. I was really hesitant in picking up the game, you can ask Lu. We were just brushing the game off as another sand-box title with nothing new to offer. I was oh so very wrong my friends. I haven’t had this much fun with a open world title in a long time. It is the definition of over the top in games. I mean you can ride on top of a frickin’ Jet man… a JET! The only thing that I dislike about the game is the sometimes horrible voice acting and the checkpoint system. If you are on the fence definitely download the demo on Xbox Live or PSN. I am sure you will enjoy it.
I went ahead and ordered a copy of Hokuto Musou(Fist of the North Star) for the PS3. I just hope the game gets to my house soon, so I can play the damned thing already. I know, I know I am already dead. I don’t know why but it looks a lot better than any of the entries in the Dynasty Warrior series (which I haven’t been too fond of to be honest) so I have high hopes. Although it is probably due to me liking Fist mostly.
Well, not much more from me, just keep reading our shit. Ill just be here, trying to get over the horrid loss by Frank Mir to Shane Carwin at UFC111. It just reminds me of what Brock Lesnar did to him at UFC 100. I also was impressed by the manhandling that George “Rush” St Pierre gave Dan Hardy. I am starting to feel like there is no one that can touch the guy. The world of MMA is such a roller coaster of emotions. I love it.
